WHEN: Monday, 26th June — 19:00 — 20:30

Barely two weeks after the Manchester Arena bombing, a new terrorist attack on London Bridge is yet another harsh reminder that terrorist attacks have exponentially increased across Europe. Despite the improvements over the past few years in Europe’s response and resilience against these attacks. There is still a dire need for enhanced international cooperation and coordination in order to develop effective proportionate counter measures. Besides that, there is a demand for new strategies to strengthen European resilience from potential attacks.
YPFP’s 3rd discussion group will explore the following questions: How can countries improve their domestic security to combat today's terrorist threats? What measures can countries take to counter low-tech terror attacks in an unpredictable threat environment? How can countries better share information in a time of mistrust and cautiousness? Looking further ahead, what are the potential major repercussions of Brexit on security in Europe?
Take the opportunity to join the Security and Defence Discussion Group on Monday, 26th June to engage, discuss and exchange your views with your peers on how to improve security and resilience against terrorist attacks in Europe.
