Born in 1988 in Brazil, raised in Cologne and based in Berlin, Dominique Dillon de Byington, aka Dillon, has always had a clear vision of her art. Her debut album “This Silence Kills”, released in 2011 on Berlin label Bpitch Control, included her most successful single to date ‘Thirteen Thity-Five’ (hitting 30million views on YouTube), critical acclaim of her ‘chanson pop’ and ‘sensuous electronics’, and vocally compared to Feist, Bjork and Joanna Newsom. In 2014, Dilon released her second album “The Unknown”, featuring more abstract lyrics while placing more focus on creating a more minimalistic electronic landscape for her voice and her delicate piano-playing to unfold it. “This album is an audio-and-coloring book rather than a classic album” says Dillon. Her recent work with a 16-piece female choir resulted in a concert film and live album which was released in Autumn of 2016.
In October 2017, Dillon is set to release her forthcoming album “Kind”, via new label home [PIAS] Recordings and we are proud to welcome her for an undoubtedly captivating show at [CHEZ PIAS] on November, 30th.
