UNESCO INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY

In November 2011, UNESCO officially designated April 30 as International Jazz Day in order to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people in all corners of the globe.
Each year on April 30th, we celebrate this tribute to jazz music and its fundamental role in uniting people across the globe, promoting peace, dialogue among cultures, diversity, and respect for human rights and human dignity.

En novembre 2011, l’UNESCO a officiellement décrété le 30 avril « Journée Internationale du Jazz ». L’UNESCO veut ainsi souligner l’importance du jazz et son rôle diplomatique dans l’unité des peuples aux quatre coins du globe.
Chaque année à la date du 30 avril à Bruxelles, nous rendons hommage à la musique jazz qui promeut la paix et le dialogue entre les cultures, la diversité et le respect des droits de l'homme et de la dignité humaine.

In november 2011 riep UNESCO officieel 30 april uit als Internationale Jazzdag. Daarmee willen ze jazz en zijn diplomatieke rol in het verenigen van mensen uit alle hoeken van de wereld benadrukken.
Elk jaar op 30 april, vieren we ook in particperen we aan dit eerbetoon aan jazzmuziek en haar fundamentele rol in het verenigen van mensen over de hele wereld, het bevorderen van vrede en de dialoog tussen culturen, diversiteit en respect voor de mensenrechten en de menselijke waardigheid.
