About OWN and Marine Serre:
Created by Thierry Rondenet & Herve Yvrenogeau, OWNis a Brussels-based label that produced, between 1999 and 2007, a subtle wardrobe for men and women, playfully interrogating fashion codes and customs. The duo also taught at La Cambre for 14 years and will oversee a new BA degree, formed by the French Fashion Institute in collaboration with the Chambre Syndicale de la couture Parisienne. Currently OWN collaborates with prestigious fashion houses such as Maison Martin Margiela, Balenciaga, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Louis Vuitton, Acne Studios.
Marine Serreis a young designer based in Paris. Prior to the launch of her brand, Marine graduated from La Cambre Mode[s] with highest honors and became intimately acquainted with the inner workings of the fashion industry through a series of internships and positions at Alexander McQueen, Maison Margiela, Dior and Balenciaga. In 2017, however, her own narrative became too hard to ignore when her RADICAL CALL FOR LOVE collection was simultaneously selected for the Hyères Festival, the ANDAM Prize and the LVMH Prize. Before winning the latter in June ’17, she counted Dover Street Market, Nordstrom and SSENSE among her stockists. In October, she introduced a capsule collection titled CORNERSTONES for Spring/Summer ’18, coinciding with the establishment of her namesake label.
